Mastering Mullet - Phil Hazell

Book Title: Mastering Mullet

Author: Phil Hazell

Publisher: NMC

ISBN: None

Here we have one of very few books on mullet fishing, this being the most recent, published in 2005.  It's an A4-size booklet of 35 pages.

It covers just the thick lip, with chapters on float and ledger fishing, baits and groundbait, harbour fishing, fishing open shores, and creek fishing.  I found myself reading the harbour and creek fishing chapters first, which associate nicely with the mullet in our region.

This is a very informative book, written in a "how-to" style without banging on about tackle and shotting patterns  the author puts the emphasis on where to use certain methods, and how to attract and catch the fish.  The 35 pages are mostly solid text with just a few photos and diagrams.

This book replaces my pile of cuttings on mullet from various magazines, which have now gone in the bin.  Available from yours truly for the £12 list price plus £1 postage.
