The wind has been the talking point this week, with winds more October like than those we'd expect in July, the sea has certainly had a stir up. This may have done some good, the eastern beaches gave been plagued with red weed as has the shingle ridge, hopefully the heaving seas will have broken it up and moved it on.
Holt SACs latest match was in the Wash away from stormy seas, the competitors found plenty of eels and flounders with upcoming England star Henry Randell taking the honours with 4lb 14oz second in the open match was Ed Driver with 4lb 2oz whilst Dave Read was third with 2lb 15oz. Club results on the day were led by Henry with Mike Watts in second and Tony Thomas in third. There were some sole in the south of the patch though really we're looking to see what happens as tides build and sea settles down again, I can see some surprises in catches this week.
